Creating movement...

The aspect of movement came up through my feedback, that I could look into how this can change my piece from a static shot to something actually having the sensation of happening in front of the viewer.
This could done but projecting a constant stream of rainbow shaped objects shooting from left to right on the white jet. The video could consist of be either spitting out froot-loops or using transparent rainbows pushed out of a fan and then this could be projected.
I thought about trying these out but I didn't know anyone who had a projector and I couldn't afford to buy one. Instead i decided to emphasise the violent movement by pixelating the background and adding shadow.

This took a couple of goes as I needed to get the right colour. I felt this successfully pulled the piece together yet still not distract from what I was trying to illustrate.
I also tried adding pieces like droplets of the rainbow liquid to the ceiling to create a sense of rapid flow but found these gave the piece an untidy look, i even tried adding springs and wire but this made it look odd and distracting, so ripped them off.
