Sphincter jet

As I was still trying to create an illusion of movement I had to think of a way to make the middle jet look like it was actually spewing something out with great force.

I took an image of what looked like fibre optics or rapidly moving light and and added rainbow colours.

I did this by using watercolour pencils and a small brush in water, it was quite time consuming but very enjoyable.

I think it worked well.

I also created skin flaps to the skin wall so that they came out, an organic feel. These were build by encasing old rags with mod roc and paint.
